"Kekai is such a good story. He is a player that got drafted in our system & had to earn everything he got. Kekai's whole time in the Brewers system I was on him & I could tell he didn't like me. But you can ask him to this day, Who he still calls for advice ? I guarantee he will tell you I got him better. Kekai went on to becoming one of the top catchers in the minor leagues during his career. Kekai is definitely someone I would trust 100% with  kids who are looking to do it the right way & learn what it takes to get to the next level (train with guys who know what it takes not guys who think they know what it takes). "I got the pleasure to Manage Kekai right after he got rule 5 from the Brewers to the Dodgers.  On the field carried himself like the general out there, second manager type player. Never had to worry, not the loudest guy, more of a player to show you what he can do rather than tell you but at the same time hold you accountable. Baseball skills as a catcher were elite, no secret why many pitchers in MLB right now would come in my office requesting Kekai behind the plate. His laid back vibe & they way he treated the staff & his teammates is what makes this kid special. I'm Excited for Kekai to give back to the next generation of Hawaii players.
